Help for melasma?
I have a pretty bad case of melasma (confirmed from a dermatologist) especially on the upper lip which makes it look like I have a mustache, which is quite embarrassing. I am not on birth control and in my early 40's. Dermatologist suggest bleach cream which costs $100 for small tube. I have tried over the counter creams (meladerm, oil of olay definity cream etc), which claim to work, but don't. Someone has to know something else that will work....HELP!

There is inexpensive hydroquinone cream that you can get in the pharmacy, like Porcelana. You need a prescription for the stronger stuff but you can get it in Mexico without.
It takes 3 weeks or more to work. Also you must not expose yourself to the sun, not even with sunscreen. You have to wear a wide brimmed hat. A few minutes of sun exposure can ruin a whole month of bleaching.
