Oh man - I haven't seen this explanation in years. This is some old nonsense that was going around back in the 1950's. We've moved on since.
If you're a homosexual, just have a good time with it. If you're not a homosexual, don't worry about those who are. They won't hurt you.
Homosexuality has absolutely nothing to do with "hazing", severe or not. And Stockholm syndrome is "identification with aggressor" where one identified with the opinions of one's torturer - also has absolutely nothing to do with homosexuality.

Wow, where to begin. YES hazing is intended to provoke "stockholm syndrome" in pledges. That is why frat boys are so loyal to the house. I have seen little or no correlation between joining fraternities and homosexuality, although the profound prevalence of homophobia in fraternaties suggests that alot of latent homosexuals are drawn to fraternities. Says nothing about the process however.
All the hazing trivia is interesting but off the topic of Stockholm Syndrome as such. As for hell night resembling "fagging" (which I thought meant smoking cigarettes,) ALL male activities resemble homosexual behavior, patting asses in sports, smacking with towels in the locker room, etc.... I think that males indulge in this behavior as a sign of "trust" not of initiation into homosexuality.
Most homosexuals claim to have had those feelings from a very early age, long before the fraternities and sports teams got hold of them.
Basically your thesis is a joke.
