this abiding love doesn't seem to subsist,
your memory comes across as permanent as i
consider how you left me so promptly
yet so gradually, so progressively
and i contemplate my circumstances and
anticipate whether this is just a matter
of semantics, or if this is our portion.
and it fascinates me to believe that there is
still a memory that lingers in your
mind, as you see me, and your eyes fail to
shift from that plight...
your eyes are in a sterling gaze,
a refined gape towards a memory you once had,
a memory you once reflected upon,
once of which that has so withered away over time.
the violent thoughts had burned into
my judgement, those pristine emotions that
have now been shattered and distorted,
malformed, dysmorphic and even
disfigured, and when your eyes meet mine,
i feel oh so isolated,
our feelings being the only commodity
that exists, the only sensation
that matters in all reality..
you have interrupted my sense in
so many ways, the diversity of your impact
on my desires, my outlook, my notions.
and you have obstructed my view of pure
sentience, and i fail in my
relationships, those that necessitate
heedfulness and embracement.
despite your interruption, i am still able to
provoke myself to discern,
as i undergo that this in which i touch,
is still just so real...
