Was Collins submarine software delayed in 1993 because some programs weren't considered ready ?
From reading on the net I've found there was some sort of real or imaginary hiccup in 1993.
The various subsystems supposedly needed to be "integrated" by some sort of glueware.
I'm puzzled because why would it matter if the "glue" programs weren't ready ? The standalone systems could be used.
For the system to be of any value, wouldn't the systems need to be able to be used standalone ?
There must be some macchiavellian reason why the system wasn't simply issued "as is" in 1993.
If there was such foolishness involved I trust Chief of Navy Security was being kept informed.
