What is the name of the style of art used for the portraits on money.

i believe in bills it's pointilism, the portraits is composed of tiny miniscule dots that when put together looks like a picture.
the technique (not the style) used in coins is matallurgical printmaking.
and finally both in coins and bills, symbolic art is used as well
