Watercolor questions?
I have a canvas that says "acrylic primed for use with all mediums" and wanted to make sure I could use watercolor paints on it. I was also hoping to find out some tips for painting with watercolors. Thanks :)

I would only use watercolor paper for watercolor paints. It's pretty cheap. Save the canvas for when you use oils or acrylics.
Yes, there are special brushes for watercolor. You never use ones you've used for anything else. Wherever you buy your brushes, whether at a store or online, there will be seperate sections for watercolor brushes and other brushes. Within watercolor brushes, there are a variety of brushes, from ones meant to do washes, thin lines, etc.

Personally, I can't stand painting watercolor on a canvas. I've tried it on specific watercolor canvases and it didn't work well. It's nearly impossible to paint over paint because the color underneith will "lift" off or wash off when touched with new wet paint.
I'd reccomend using watercolor paper which can be inexpenisve but you get what you pay for, you know?
The thing to remember is that watercolor isn't like acryllics or oils or whatever. It's unique in that it's transparent, so it's virtually impossible to paint over a mistake. So be sure you sketch first, most artists create a value sketch on a second sheet of paper using charcoal etc. That way there's less of a chance you'll need to compensate for mistakes.
